This is hot stuff- a picture of my corporate tax section. Our professor is a die-hard BYU fan, and during the game last Saturday he wasn't getting very good reception. Despite being in the middle of Utah's largest snow storm of the season yet, he climbed up on his roof to adjust the satellite. However, the laws of physics weren't about to be pushed around, and he fell. It was only about 10ft., but he landed on his face. there is a 3 in. by 5 in. section of his face that got pushed in by 1 in and over by 1 in- it's amazing he lived through a hit like that. Obviously reconstructive surgery is needed, but the swelling has to go down first. He'll be out for the rest of the year. The great thing is he still has a sense of humor about it- and who can draw the line when the BYU football game isn't coming in clearly? They took a picture to go along with the card and things we sent him.
I'm sure Chad's characterization of the picture would include the title "hep-cats."

ASU game
This is from the ASU football game I went to with my friend Jeff. I was wearing dark red pants so I was decked out in school colors. Its strange they didn't upgrade our seats because of that!

Halloween
Here are a few pictures I thought I'd throw onto the blog. The first is my humble effort at recreating myself as a neapolitan ice cream sandwich. This was taken at the stake halloween dance with my roommate Kim.

Christmas is Coming!
I just thought it a good idea for all of us who are not on a mission right now to post our christmas list on this blog so we can know what everyone wants. (Heaven forbid we should have to come up with gift ideas on our own!)

This BYU kid sells Nordstrom overstock and floor models out of his place in Provo for cheap.

This was shown in my managerial class- the professor called it a 'reverential moment.'

Personal Finance
Glad to see the page is working alright.
Here's a great website. It is about personal finance, written by a BYU finance professor. I've never had him, but he's been recommended in some of my classes. It is sort of put together like an online study course and goes through home buying, debt, and more.

Free Music Downloads Online! (It's Legal Too!)
I have been enjoying free music downloads from spiralfrog.com this week. The website opened last week and provides completely free music downloads. The free music is supported by the side adds on the website. They don't have everything, but they are getting more music every day. One drawback is you have to play the music in windows media player instead of iTunes, but that is not that big of a deal. Check it out! spiralfrog.com

Did you know "saguaro cactus" is Latin for "sprite trees"?
Greetings from Scottsdale! The weather here is becoming fantastic and I have been discovering new places to run and hike everyday. My roommates are lovely, work is great, and I'm currently trying to think of the perfect Halloween costume--I'll be spending my Oct 31st with the O'Hares, they had already been making plans back in June when I was living with them. I also just found out that I'll be able to watch General Conference on one of our few basic tv channels. I can't wait to visit the fam in October. And I think a family blog is such a wonderful idea, hats off to Andrew for getting this set up!

SNOW!!!!
I just thought it would be important to report that Provo got snow on the mountain tops last night. Yep, it looks pretty awesome with the changing trees on the mountain side and snow on top.

Rocky Mountain High
Last week Jordan and I went biking at Slick Rock in Moab, then decided to take the Jeep on the 4x4 trails made for non-Grand Cherokee-type vehicles. After some absolutely amazing sandstone rises and declines, we sheepishly turned around and come back out to avoid some obviously car devaluing-type trails.

Should we use this?
Hey guys- after following some friend's blogs for a while, I thought it might be fun to try one out for our family. Kind of like a family newsletter, we can post pictures and recount stories, such as top-secret airport tours or 1st place brownie recognitions. It seems to be pretty easy to add to and read.
The name is up for suggestion- but it seems like our family is usually referred to as dflindz in the online realm. Maybe throw a "Das" on the front to make it truely representative?
I thought I'd throw a couple pictures on here to start- photos from recently that I don't know if everyone has seen or not.
