New York and DC!

We had a fantastic weekend with Chaddy--drove up to NYC and saw lots of exciting things from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, Ground Zero, Broadway, The Holocaust Museum, and much more...can't wait for the next mini reunion!

Maverick's first trick!

Here's a lovely video of our favorite black cat doing his very first trick with his brand new scratching post! He's getting so smart. Sorry the video is sideways. You'll just have to pretend you're eating a taco while watching.

4th of July parade

We went to the 4th of July parade and enjoyed the beautiful, mild Boise weather. We checked out the farmers' market, then heard the military jets fly above us to signal the start of the parade. A lot of the parade participants were advocating political positions, which struck us as odd, but there were also normal-type floats. A great time!

Here are some Boise events that have happened in the last few months....that have been recorded, anyway...

Maverick the cat joined the family! He is such a joy.

Joleen came to visit for Clarissa's birthday! It was soooooooooooo fun to have her here!

Heather Driving, and doing really well!

The very first place we went was the little piece of slickrock that goes up a pretty steep climb, across the top, and down a pretty steep hill; it ends where there us most always a puddle of water. I know that Jordan and Andrew know what I am referring to. Heather drove up and down this little trail. She is a natural.

It is really much steeper than the picture shows.....
There was part of the trip that we stopped and did a little yoga...it helped with relaxation.

A little trip to the outdoor bathroom, complete with an 'occupied' security chain to keep wandering desert hikers and bikers out. It would not keep critters out....to bad there was not a quick acting rabbit, chipmunk, or snake that slipped in...now that would be a great picture.
I found this girl from Iran just walking along the road, so I decided ot let her drive for a while.....

There were lots of self-portraits. This one is especially nice.
We worked hard to set the camera in a position and then I would run like heck to get in place before the 10 second timer went off.
Sometimes I would make it.....
And sometimes not....
This was the best place to ride.....

A tribute to our family funny man who will soon join us and cause a contagious case of belly laughter. I thought the blog was a good place to channel my excitement for his return, since he won't see it and become trunky. But he's coming home! It's gonna be thoroughly joyous!

Mom informed me that in addition to using no sheet or pillow case with less than a 300 thread count, Lindsays DO NOT PLAY MINIATURE GOLF. We only play real golf. I'm sure we don't need to be reminded of the consequences of any 'VIOLATION!' to family policy.
