At the base of Cathedral Rock is this flat slick rock area where the Vortex is. A Vortex is a place where the earth is especially healthy. Many folks will seek out the Vortex for a place to meditate or receive some kind of spiritual gift from the earth. We visited and found it to be a lovely place, but I did not feel especially healthy or see/feel/hear anything from the earth. I was a nice place to be though. If you look close, you can see mom in the distance sitting and enjoying the Vortex experience.
